During an address at the Azadi Parade marking the country's 78th Independence Day, Munir warned against attempts to weaken the military, equating such efforts with weakening the state.
He highlighted the growing threat of 'digital terrorism' by foreign powers aimed at dividing state institutions and the people. Munir emphasized that the mutual trust between the Pakistan Army and the nation is unshakeable, stating, "Our forces will continue to defend the nation with unwavering resolve."
Munir also tackled pressing security issues, including the situation on the western border with Afghanistan, the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and the volatile scenario in Balochistan. He warned against social media-induced anarchy and stressed the importance of verifying information to prevent public unrest.
