Ajay Shah, a local BJP leader, was killed by two unidentified assailants on a bike near his home in Bajrangpuri on Tuesday night. Police confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred around 10 pm.
Shah, a block-level party leader, died instantly at the scene, according to Superintendent of Police (East) Bharat Soni. A case has been registered, and a search is underway to apprehend the suspects.
Political leaders have reacted strongly to the incident. Nikhil Anand, national general secretary of BJP's OBC Morcha, said, 'The party lost a very committed worker. The accused must be put behind bars at the earliest.' Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized the law and order situation in the state, accusing the BJP of maintaining silence over the increasing crime rate in Bihar.
