Stabilizing Bangladesh: Muhammad Yunus Assures Normalcy Amid Minority Concerns

This marks the first communication between them since Yunus took office after the government change. Modi reiterated India's commitment to support Bangladesh and protect minorities.

In a recent conversation, Bangladesh Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the situation in Bangladesh has been stabilized following reports of violence against minority communities.

Yunus emphasized that these reports have been exaggerated and extended an invitation to Indian journalists to verify the situation on the ground. This dialogue marks the first direct communication between Yunus and Modi since Yunus assumed office on August 8.

Prime Minister Modi, while congratulating Yunus, reaffirmed India's dedication to supporting Bangladesh's development and ensuring minority protection. Yunus assured that his government will prioritize the safety of all citizens, including minorities.
