Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi convened a crucial meeting on Friday with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu to discuss organizational changes in the state, sources confirmed.

While no official statement was released, it is believed that the discussions centered around appointing a new president for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.

Reddy, who became Chief Minister at the end of last year, has continued to serve as the state Congress president. Sources indicate that an announcement regarding the new state president could be forthcoming.

Interestingly, no alterations were made to the Telangana Congress Committee leadership in anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections.
