Hezbollah's Ongoing Battle with Israel: Escalation and Threats
Hezbollah's deputy leader Naim Kassem declared an open-ended conflict with Israel, vowing further displacement and economic destruction. During the funeral of commander Ibrahim Akil, Kassem highlighted Hezbollah's resilience, despite recent losses, and pointed to a new phase marked by intensified rocket attacks.
Hezbollah's deputy leader Naim Kassem announced Sunday that the group is now engaged in an open-ended conflict with Israel, threatening further displacement for residents in Israel's northern regions.
Speaking at the funeral of top Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Akil, Kassem acknowledged the pain both sides endure. “We admit that we are pained. We are humans. But as we are pained, you will also be pained,” he stated.
He warned that Israel's economy would face destruction and their goals would not be achieved. Despite the loss of senior military leaders, Kassem emphasized that Hezbollah has emerged stronger. He noted that a barrage of 100 rockets fired into Israel early Sunday was just the beginning of their newly intensified efforts.
