Congress Confident of Sweeping Haryana and J&K Elections

Congress leaders express confidence in winning the upcoming Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. General Secretary K C Venugopal predicts a landslide victory on October 8, while MPs Kumari Selja and Deepender Hooda criticize BJP's governance and vouch for Congress's chances.

Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal stated on Monday that the party is poised to secure victories in both the Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls. 'On October 8, Congress will sweep Haryana and J&K. There is a one-sided election in Haryana; people are with Congress here. On October 8, people will show how they treat PM Modi,' Venugopal declared.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Kumari Selja, in an interview with ANI, emphasized, 'We work on the ground. For 10 years, the BJP has offered hollow slogans. We've opposed their anti-people policies, and today, people trust Congress. The BJP's decade in power was marked by unfulfilled promises and problems like Agniveer imposed on the youth. Injustice is being dealt to our armed forces. Ask the poor, shopkeepers, youth, and middle class—every citizen is troubled under BJP rule. Congress approaches these elections with full confidence. We will win,' Selja assured.

Congress MP Deepender Hooda expressed strong faith in a Congress victory in Haryana's assembly elections. 'People have made up their minds to elect a Congress government. We will win by a large majority. Throughout the state, people are voicing that the BJP government is ending, and the Congress party is coming. The BJP's 10-year tenure has been so detrimental that they had to replace their Chief Minister,' stated Hooda. Haryana's 90-member state legislative assembly elections are set for October 5, with the counting scheduled for October 8.
