The Opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance on Wednesday continued their seat-sharing talks for the Maharashtra assembly elections.
State Congress chief Nana Patole, Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat, state NCP (SP) chief Jayant Patil, and Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Anil Desai and Sanjay Raut were present at the meeting held at 'Shivalaya,' the office of the Uddhav Thackeray-led party.
The talks, expected to conclude before Dussehra, focus on regional seat allocation. Congress seeks a larger share in Vidarbha and Marathwada while offering more seats to Shiv Sena (UBT) in Mumbai and Konkan. However, Sena (UBT) demands more seats in eastern Maharashtra's Vidarbha region. Consensus has been reached on 90% of the seats in Mumbai, with six seats still under discussion.
