Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has accused the Congress of failing to keep its poll promises, while urging the people of Haryana to avoid being misled by the opposition. In a campaign ahead of the state elections, Singh emphasized that the BJP stands for development, in contrast to what he termed as the 'destruction' offered by the opposition.
Singh detailed that the Centre allocated Rs 78,000 crore for Haryana's development under BJP rule, significantly higher than the Rs 21,564 crore provided by the Congress during its tenure. The BJP also surpassed Congress in supporting farmers, providing Rs 13,276 crore over 10 years compared to the Congress's Rs 1,158 crore.
Highlighting the merit-based job allocation system under BJP governance, Singh assured youths of continued employment opportunities devoid of corruption or favoritism. He also criticized the Congress and its allies for promising to restore Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, labeling it as a misleading tactic for votes. Defending the Agnipath scheme, Singh explained its benefits for a youthful armed force and condemned the opposition's criticism of the program.
