The Congress party has dismissed the results of the Haryana assembly elections, where the BJP seems set for a third term, labeling them as 'totally unexpected' and 'counter-intuitive.' Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera, senior Congress leaders, raised concerns regarding the counting process and vowed to approach the Election Commission with their grievances.
The electoral outcome, with BJP poised to win 48 of the 90 seats, has been attributed to manipulation, according to Congress. They argue that the results do not reflect the people's will in Haryana, where they were anticipated to leverage anti-incumbency factors against the ruling party.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders celebrated what they termed as a pro-incumbency vote, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their success. Nevertheless, the Congress continues to claim irregularities, asserting discrepancies and a lack of real-time updates from the Election Commission during the counting phase.
