The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced on Wednesday its decision to contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections independently. This move comes shortly after Congress's disappointing performance in Haryana, prompting AAP to criticize the opposition party for its reluctance to form alliances.
According to Priyanka Kakkar, AAP's chief spokesperson, the party is well-prepared to challenge both the Congress and the BJP in Delhi without external support. Meanwhile, Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav declared the party's strength to run for elections unaided, citing AAP's loss of credibility amid recent controversies.
Sanjay Singh of AAP highlighted failed attempts to build an alliance with Congress in Haryana, revealing deep-seated disagreements about a seat-sharing formula. Despite AAP's efforts, the intended partnership fell through, leading both parties to contest independently.
