BJP Criticizes Congress Over Post-Election EVM Protests

The BJP accused Congress of a habitual protest against EVMs and democratic processes whenever it loses an election. After the Haryana loss, Congress raised allegations about EVM discrepancies, which BJP countered by demeaning Congress leadership and their disconnection with the public.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the Congress party, accusing it of recurrently questioning Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the Election Commission, and democracy itself under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, especially after election defeats.

BJP's Media Head and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni highlighted Congress' reaction to its recent defeat in Haryana, labeling it as a continuation of a consistent habit. He remarked that Congress often makes confident claims of impending victories, referencing similar assertions made before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan in 2023.

Baluni asserted that Congress's continuous spread of 'lies and confusion' and reliance on outdated propaganda exemplified its disconnect from people. Despite the Supreme Court's repeated endorsement of EVM reliability, Congress demands investigations into alleged EVM discrepancies post-defeat.
