Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Unveils Candidate List for Assembly Polls

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Wednesday revealed the names of 35 candidates set to contest in the forthcoming assembly polls. Among the key figures, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will aim to retain his Barhait seat, while his wife Kalpana Soren will contest from Gandey.
The elections are scheduled in a two-phase process on November 13 and 20, with the decisive results to be announced on November 23. Chief Minister Soren is the current MLA from Barhait, having secured his victory by a substantial margin against his BJP opponent in the 2019 elections.
Additionally, the candidate list includes Basant Soren, the Chief Minister's brother, who will vie for the Dumka seat. Other notable candidates include Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahto from Nala and Kedar Hazara from Jamua, previously a BJP member.
