A temporary structure set up for Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's rally in Maharashtra's Nashik district was damaged by strong winds on Thursday, police reported.
The incident occurred in the afternoon in the Trimbak area, with two individuals suffering minor injuries as debris from the structure dispersed. The event was postponed momentarily as the disruption occurred just before Kharge was scheduled to address the public gathering. Curtains of the structure were also torn due to the gusts, an official informed.
The injured party supporters were promptly taken to the hospital, where they were treated for non-serious injuries. Following the subsiding winds, the rally proceeded as planned, and Kharge delivered his address ahead of the upcoming November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections.
