The Left parties organized a protest at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Monday in reaction to comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah about Dr. BR Ambedkar.
The protest saw participation from members of multiple parties including CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML) Liberation, RSP, AIFB, and CGPI, all vocally demanding Shah's removal from office.
CPI(M) leader Hannan Mollah criticized Shah's comments as an attack on the core values of Indian democracy, asserting that continuous criticism of Ambedkar reflects regressive politics. Shah later accused the opposition of misrepresenting his words for political gain.
