Amid growing discontent within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dushyant Gautam predicts an imminent end to AAP's influence in the state. Gautam asserts that the people of Punjab feel they have been deceived and desire political liberation from AAP.
Adding fuel to the fire, BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh highlighted internal unrest within AAP, especially after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's recent loss in the Delhi Assembly election. Singh pointed out notable absenteeism during a crucial meeting in Delhi, where four out of 94 MLAs failed to attend, and calls emerged for the removal of Bhagwant Mann as chief minister.
Further intensifying the controversy, Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal criticized AAP for treating Punjab like a 'personal ATM,' alleging rampant corruption and unauthorized sand mining activities. Maliwal accused Kejriwal of focusing on Punjab post his electoral defeat in Delhi, questioning what benefits Kejriwal has delivered to Punjab.
