In a pressing critique of India's political landscape, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray voiced concerns over the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) influence on regional parties and cast doubt on the integrity of the nation's election process. At a press conference, Thackeray highlighted potential voter and electronic voting machine (EVM) fraud in the elections.
Thackeray met with Rahul Gandhi and planned a meeting with Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to discuss these issues. He remarked, "The future of our country is in doubt." He expressed fears that what happened with Kejriwal and the Congress could happen with other regional leaders like Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu.
Aligning efforts with INDIA Bloc leaders, Thackeray emphasized their united front is not about egos but securing the nation's future. Amid their struggles in the assembly polls in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, concerns have risen about voter registration discrepancies and the significant increase in new voters, especially between the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.
