The Leader of the House, JP Nadda, has voiced strong criticism of the Opposition's recent walkout from the Rajya Sabha, suggesting they are encouraging anti-national activities. Accusing the Congress and other INDIA bloc parties of aiding those attempting to destabilize the nation, he described their behavior as unfortunate and irresponsible.
Nadda demanded the suspension of MPs who entered the well of the house during protests against the joint parliamentary committee report on the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024. He insisted that such actions should face condemnation, labeling the move as a tactic of appeasement politics.
Meanwhile, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar acknowledged the uproar in the House but expressed concern over the conduct of members who disrupted proceedings, underscoring the necessity of action against them according to legal norms.
