A pivotal conference, designed to redefine Syria's political trajectory, is set to unfold without the involvement of Assad loyalists and the Kurdish-led administration in the northeast, organizers revealed on Thursday.
Huda al-Atassi, an ex-detainee and steering committee member, emphasized that the gathering would encompass societal and governance discussions to forge a path grounded in consensus and justice.
In a crucial movement against Assad's regime, Ahmad al-Sharaa, a former rebel leader, emerged as interim president. Since Assad's fall, he has advocated for a political transformation emphasizing pluralism and rights for minorities, promising an inclusive dialogue to establish Syria's future constitution.
