Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Friday accused the BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra of financial mismanagement, citing the state's staggering Rs 8 lakh crore debt. Danve alleged that the government is attempting to halt essential schemes introduced to assist the populace as a result of the dire financial situation.

At a press conference, Danve critiqued the state's economic health, warning against pre-election promises such as the 'Ladki Bahin' and 'Ladka Bhau' schemes, which he claims are now dragging the economy down. The 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' initiative, launched last year to empower women, is now critiqued for its financial viability, with promises of increased aid facing opposition backlash.

Additionally, Danve addressed issues in other sectors, such as the 'Ladka Bhau' vocational training program and a crop insurance scheme for farmers, both struggling with funding due to the financial crisis. On a different note, Danve commented on the ethical implications surrounding NCP minister Dhananjay Munde amid an extortion scandal linked to a murder case.
