The BJP-led Delhi government is set to present 14 pending reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) concerning the former AAP government's performance. The move, planned for February 25, is expected to stir political debates in the Assembly.
These reports, which include evaluations of state finances and public health infrastructure, among others, had been withheld during the AAP administration according to BJP claims, who accused AAP of delaying them purposely to conceal financial discrepancies. The BJP has criticized the previous administration for alleged corruption and misuse of funds.
In a significant highlight, a report on the renovation of the chief minister's official residence, which saw a cost surge of 342%, has drawn accusations of public fund misuse against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. As political tensions mount, these reports' findings are expected to drive substantial discussions and shape political narratives in Delhi.
