Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday accused the BJP of spreading divisive ideology and urged his supporters to counter the party's 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan with 'Jai Shivaji' and 'Jai Bhavani'.
Addressing a gathering in Mulund, Thackeray drew parallels between the current BJP-led government and the regime of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany. He questioned the BJP's dedication to the nation, especially regarding international sports diplomacy, noting a contradiction in their stance towards games with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
In addition, Thackeray called for unity ahead of the civic body elections, stressing the importance of supporting the party's candidates during the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation polls to fortify the Sena's position in future political scenarios.
