Congress MP Digvijaya Singh has brought to light instructions he received during his time as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He claims he was cautioned against criticizing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) while campaigning in Gujarat, fearing it might provoke Hindu sentiments. Singh's revelation comes alongside his commendation of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his outspoken commentary in Gujarat.
During a recent address in Ahmedabad, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the necessity for the Congress to identify true party advocates and distinguish them from those partially aligned with the ruling BJP. He advocated for stringent measures, including possible expulsions, to purify the party ranks.
Singh, reflecting on past experiences, expressed skepticism about RSS representing genuine Hindu values. He described it as a manipulative entity that capitalizes on religion for power, highlighting a traditional Hindu leadership as disassociated from the current political machinery. Singh reiterated his stance that the BJP seeks dominance through religious exploitation.
