Himachal CM Sukhu Warns BJP Against Political Blame Game Ahead of Assembly Session

On the eve of the budget session in the Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held a meeting with the Congress Legislative Party (CLP). Sukhu lashed out against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of blame-shifting and avoiding crucial assembly discussions through walkouts.

Addressing the media, CM Sukhu attacked the BJP for their pattern of blame and avoidance. He noted a change, however, as the BJP attended this time's all-party meeting before the Assembly session, despite their previous tendency to plan walkouts. Sukhu called out the BJP's demand for an extended session as showcasing their hypocrisy.

The Chief Minister continued his critique, highlighting the BJP's history of walking out during vital assemblies and ridiculing their current demand to extend legislative proceedings. Sukhu emphasized his commitment to governance, promising to extend sessions to accommodate full participation. He accused the BJP of internal strife and command from above, reducing their efficacy in essential dialogues.

CM Sukhu disclosed the internal rift within the BJP highlighted by their walkout from the last all-party meeting and reprimand from their leaders. He noted former Congress members now with the BJP being marginalized, reflecting internal discord. Shifting focus, Sukhu lent support to former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, who faces political challenges.

Sukhu criticized the use of investigatory pressure against Baghel, lauding his tenure of honesty and transparency. Congratulating India's cricket team for their Champions Trophy victory, Sukhu extended an open invitation for Captain Rohit Sharma and team to enjoy Himachal Pradesh's hospitality as a gesture of state-sponsored gratitude.

As the budget session unfolds, heated debates and discussions on critical state issues are anticipated, with the Congress government committed to addressing opposition concerns while ensuring seamless legislative processes.
