The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) showcased its significant influence in Haryana by clinching nine mayoral posts during the recent municipal elections. This victory marks a strong endorsement of the 'triple-engine' government at the local and state levels, as emphasized by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Speaking to reporters, Saini expressed gratitude to the electorate, remarking that the election outcomes reflect public approval of the government's developmental vision for Viksit Bharat, a concept championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He acknowledged the peaceful conduct of the elections and the role of administrative officials in facilitating this process.
In Faridabad, Mayor-elect Parveen Joshi pledged to focus on pressing local issues. She highlighted commitments from Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar to facilitate the implementation of public welfare schemes without hindrance. Joshi's victory over Congress' Lata Rani by over 316,000 votes underscores public faith in her leadership.
