The British government is engaging in "active discussions" with senior U.S. officials in response to President Donald Trump's announcement of a 100% tariff on all films produced outside the United States. This announcement was made by Chris Bryant, the UK's creative industries minister, on Wednesday.
Addressing parliament, Bryant emphasized the urgency of the situation. "We are already in active discussions with the top of the U.S. administration on this subject," he stated. He assured lawmakers that the UK is working diligently to ascertain what proposals might be forthcoming.
