Following India's military strikes on terrorist targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Punjab, top US military officials are monitoring the situation closely. A high-ranking American military officer has confirmed that the United States is closely observing developments after India's recent strikes on terrorist positions in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Punjab province.

India launched the operation in response to a terror attack on April 22 that killed 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir. The US Army Pacific Commanding General, Ronald Clark, noted that while it is premature to form conclusions, USINDOPACOM is gathering detailed information about the strikes.

President Donald Trump expressed a desire for peace between India and Pakistan, emphasizing strong US relations with both nations. India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri assured that the strikes were calculated, aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, and aimed to deter future threats.
