Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Himachal Pradesh has intensified security in districts bordering Punjab such as Hamirpur, Una, and Bilaspur. Police reports confirm heightened vigilance at border points and a thorough check of vehicles entering the state to safeguard against potential threats.
Given the prominence of temples like Baba Balak Nath, Maa Chintpurni, and Maa Naina Devi in the region, security checks have been particularly rigorous in these areas. Police presence has been increased both onsite and in surrounding vicinities, and devotees are advised to stay alert.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has taken proactive measures by instructing officials, including district deputy commissioners and superintendents of police, to maintain a high state of readiness to address any possible security incidents.
