The Congress party has demanded explanations regarding the Pahalgam terror attack, specifically seeking clarity on the apprehension or neutralization of those responsible and questioning the security failures leading to the tragic incident that claimed 26 lives.
Several inquiries were raised during a press briefing at the AICC headquarters by Congress General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel, notably questioning a possible shift in India's foreign policy allowing third-party interference, following US President Donald Trump's claim of mediating between India and Pakistan.
Baghel further criticized the ruling BJP for allegedly politicizing the attack, while challenging the government's resolve in protecting national interests devoid of foreign influence. The Congress has called for a special parliament session to address these pressing concerns, advocating national unity over political gains.
