Speaking at an event to commemorate the centenary of a significant conversation between spiritual leader Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi, Modi underscored the impact of Indian-manufactured weapons during conflicts.
Although he refrained from naming Pakistan, Modi noted the recent military successes against terror havens with precision attacks that showcased the efficiency of 'made-in-India' defense systems. He expressed confidence in the future global recognition of Indian weapons, affirming a shift towards self-reliance as India's dependency on foreign defense supplies wanes.
Alongside military strength, Modi highlighted the government's initiatives in housing, health, and education sectors. New IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS establishments reflect progressive growth in empowering underprivileged societal segments over the past 11 years, pushing forward India's socio-economic development.
