Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to attend the summit in Brazil on July 6-7 as part of his broader diplomatic tour including visits to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, and Namibia. The declaration will also likely touch upon the Iran-Israel conflict and propose solutions for global governance and climate finance.

Despite the absence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the summit is expected to serve as a vital platform for India to further the interests of the Global South. Discussions will also explore trade settlements in national currencies, highlighting the BRICS commitment to alternative economic mechanisms.
