Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up a significant two-day visit to the United Kingdom, marking the occasion with the signing of a historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers saw talks covering various bilateral, regional, and global issues.

The leaders celebrated the FTA, anticipated to fuel growth across both countries. In addition, discussions touched upon the UK-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which includes collaboration in trade, defense, security, technology, and education—highlighting the longstanding ties between the two nations.

Post engagements in the UK, Modi departed for the Maldives, having also met King Charles III. Modi's social media noted gratitude towards the UK and optimism about the FTA's impact on shared prosperity.
