The AIADMK Cadres Rights Retrieval Committee, under the leadership of former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, has officially separated from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The announcement came from the committee's advisor, veteran leader Panruti S Ramachandran.

Addressing members of the press, Ramachandran, alongside Panneerselvam and other panel leaders, confirmed the departure, stating that the committee would no longer participate in the NDA. He emphasized that Panneerselvam would embark on a state-wide tour to engage with supporters and discern the committee's future political alliances.

Ramachandran indicated that the decision was made with a view to reassess alliance strategies based on subsequent developments. The committee's move suggests a strategic pivot that could impact the political landscape in the region.
