In a heated face-off, Karnataka Ministers targeted the opposition BJP on Tuesday over claims that the ruling Congress is amassing funds for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Senior BJP figures Jagadish Shettar and B Y Raghavendra accused the Congress of coercing officials to contribute financially, under the guise of renewals, for the Bihar polls. They alleged a cabinet dinner hosted by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was linked to these fundraising efforts.
Countering these accusations, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar dismissed them as baseless, demanding evidence. Shivakumar highlighted past BJP practices and reiterated that the INDIA bloc will ascend to power in Bihar, escalating a fierce political exchange.
