Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended festive greetings to the people of Gujarat as they celebrated the Gujarati New Year. In his message, the Prime Minister wished for peace and prosperity across the state, emphasizing the vibrant culture and hardworking spirit of its people.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined the chorus of well-wishers, expressing hopes for health and happiness in the coming year. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel echoed these sentiments, highlighting a future filled with mutual love and progress for the people of Gujarat.

The occasion also marks the start of a new financial year for traders, symbolizing economic rejuvenation. Leaders urged citizens to support the 'Swadeshi Movement', promoting self-reliance and economic growth through local entrepreneurship. Celebrations for Bestu Varas coincide with Govardhan Puja, extending the post-Diwali festive spirit.
