The Yamuna River, once deemed severely polluted, is showing signs of significant recovery, according to Delhi BJP spokesperson Anil Gupta. On Thursday, Gupta performed a ritual sip, or aachman, from the river, asserting its improved condition is a result of the BJP's sustained efforts in the past eight months.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, who took a publicly protest-driven dip in the Yamuna against the previous AAP government's negligence, validated this progress. He stated the river's water quality is now vastly improved, describing it as nearly 'normal' compared to hazardous levels less than a year ago.

This milestone results from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's administration working diligently to enhance the river's ecological health. Current measures indicate no foul smell, dissolved oxygen levels at 4.5-5.5, and a near-normal pH of 7.5, bolstering confidence in the river's rehabilitation.
