The Congress has intensified its criticism, accusing the Election Commission (EC) of failing to uphold democratic integrity during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Congress President Mallikrjun Kharge has called on the EC to prove it is impartial and not influenced by the BJP.
During a strategy meeting with state leaders and party officials, Kharge alleged BJP's attempts to manipulate the SIR process for 'vote chori'. He expressed disappointment in the EC's conduct and demanded it adhere to its constitutional duties.
The Congress plans to closely monitor the SIR process, vowing to expose any attempts to falsify voter lists. This scrutiny follows the party's poor performance in Bihar, where party leaders suspect election irregularities influenced the results.
