In a strong rebuke, NDA MPs accused the opposition of orchestrating unnecessary disruptions in Parliament over the SIR issue. They argued that the overwhelming mandate in Bihar proves that the electoral roll revision was not a public concern.
JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha criticized the Congress and allies for focusing on the SIR in Bihar polls, insisting the public's vote for the NDA illustrates a clear rejection of the opposition's narrative. He warned they would face similar electoral failures if they persisted with their current tactics.
NDA leaders reiterated that while the government is open to discussing electoral reforms, setting strict timetables is non-negotiable. Meanwhile, opposition parties remain adamant in their demand for a parliamentary debate on the SIR exercise.
