On Saturday, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav visited the historic Fatehpur Sikri Dargah, accompanied by his wife Dimple Yadav and MP Jaya Bachchan.
Addressing a gathering, Yadav highlighted the significance of Hindustaniyat and our shared culture, expressing hopes for their survival. His critique extended to the Special Intensive Revision exercise, alleging it is not just about ensuring votes but manipulating them. Yadav suggested that constitutional institutions seem more engaged in dividing than protecting votes.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister underscored the relevance of the Constitution, likening it to a book of fate. Yadav warned of potential turmoil without it, stating that some dominant forces undermine constitutional institutions, such as insults in the Supreme Court. He further cautioned that diminishing the Constitution could threaten democracy and reservation policies.
