Czech Republic's head of state, President Petr Pavel, has officially appointed Andrej Babis, the billionaire leader of the populist ANO party, as the country's new Prime Minister in a televised ceremony.
The appointment follows Babis's victory in the parliamentary elections held on October 3-4, where his party secured a win.
Babis is set to take charge from a center-right administration, with his full cabinet expected to be in place by the end of this month.
