Shivraj Patil, who served in the Rajya Sabha representing Maharashtra from 2004 to 2010, was remembered for his contributions as a parliamentarian and administrator. C P Radhakrishnan, the Rajya Sabha Chairman, expressed the national sentiment by acknowledging Patil's enduring legacy and service.
Throughout his career, Patil held notable positions such as the 10th Speaker of Lok Sabha and Union Minister of Home Affairs. Esteemed for his deep grasp of parliamentary procedures and commitment to democratic principles, Patil's role as Governor of Punjab and administrator of Chandigarh further highlighted his dedication to public service.
