Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal launched a strong accusation against the state government, led by Devendra Fadnavis, for allegedly protecting individuals involved in drug manufacturing.

In a scathing attack on social media, Sapkal highlighted the failure of the government in curbing the drug menace following the discovery of a mephedrone factory in Satara district. The police had seized contraband worth Rs 115 crore and detained three workers from West Bengal.

Sapkal demanded accountability from the government by highlighting possible political connections to the case and questioning the role of individuals like Omkar Dighe and Prakash Shinde, urging immediate clarification from Chief Minister Fadnavis on the state's stance.
