Voting in Maharashtra's municipal elections concluded at 5:30pm, with a voter turnout between 46% and 50%, according to State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare. This marks an improvement from the 2017 civic polls.
Waghmare expressed satisfaction with the turnout. Data revealed a 41.13% turnout as of 3:30pm, with Kolhapur leading at 50.85%. Mumbai and other cities displayed varied participation.
Vote counting begins at 10am on Friday across Maharashtra, including 15 locations in Mumbai. Results are anticipated by 4pm.
