BJP candidate Tejasvi Ghosalkar emerged victorious in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, securing a landslide win over her main rival, Shiv Sena's Dhanashree Vilas Kolge, with a margin of 10,755 votes.

Ghosalkar, contesting from ward number 2 in Dahisar, garnered a total of 16,484 votes against Kolge's 5,729 votes. Meanwhile, in ward number 1 in Dahisar, Shiv Sena's Rekha Yadav was declared the winner as she secured 7,544 votes, defeating Sheetal Mhatre of Congress by around 2,500 votes.

The BJP and its ally, the Shiv Sena, showed strong performances in the high-stakes BMC elections. Early trends indicated they were leading in 210 out of 227 wards. While official confirmation from the State Election Commission was pending, TV channels reported BJP's lead in 92 wards and Shiv Sena's lead in 26 wards.
