The Mumbai civic polls concluded with significant wins for former mayoral figures. Kishori Pednekar, Shraddha Jadhav, Vishakha Raut, and Milind Vaidya from the Shiv Sena (UBT) claimed victories alongside three ex-deputy mayors.
The election landscape was charged with campaigns focused on Marathi identity, heavily pushed by contenders including Shiv Sena (UBT), BJP, Shiv Sena, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
While Uddhav faction members such as Suhas Wadkar and Hemangi Waralikar also won, Alka Kerkar of the BJP made striking gains. Notably, Chandrakant Handore's daughter Prajyoti faced defeat, while Ankit Prabhu and Puja Mahadeshwar celebrated wins.
