Former AIADMK Minister and senior party leader S P Velumani engaged in a courtesy meeting with Union Minister and BJP Tamil Nadu in-charge Piyush Goyal on Wednesday.
According to Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran, Velumani, who serves as AIADMK's whip in the State Assembly, visited for discussions. Nagenthran relayed this through social media, sharing an image of the encounter which included Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan and Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan.
The meeting coincided with AMMK founder TTV Dhinakaran's formal induction into the National Democratic Alliance alongside party supporters to contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, highlighting shifting political alliances in the region.
