In a tragic event, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar lost his life in a plane crash near Baramati on Wednesday morning. The crash also claimed the lives of four other individuals onboard.
Maharashtra and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat expressed his profound sorrow over the incident. Offering his sympathies, he stated, "I was deeply saddened by the untimely demise of the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Ajit Pawar ji, in a plane crash near Baramati. I pay my respects to Shri Ajit Pawar Ji and convey my heartfelt condolences to all the members of the bereaved family. Om Shanti."
The accident occurred as the aircraft was landing at the Pune district site, according to officials. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash.
