Sunil Kedar, the Nashik city BJP president, retracted his resignation today after internal discussions. His initial resignation was motivated by differences over the selection of mayoral candidates.
The party had opted for Himgauri Aher-Adke and Machhindra Sanap for the roles of mayor and deputy mayor, which led to Kedar's resignation sent to state BJP president Ravindra Chavan.
According to sources, Kedar suggested an alliance with Shiv Sena, which did not receive approval from state minister Girish Mahajan. Post discussion with the state BJP leaders, Kedar decided to rescind his resignation.
