Trinamool Congress MPs are challenging voter disenfranchisement in both Houses of Parliament, according to Monday reports. Prominent leader Saugata Roy seeks a Lok Sabha debate, while MPs Nadimul Haque and Saket Gokhale bring the issue to the Rajya Sabha.

Opposition parties criticize the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of electoral rolls in five upcoming election states, including West Bengal. Since November, over 63 lakh names have been removed from West Bengal's voter list, shrinking the electorate by 8.3%.

The parliamentary session promises a fiery exchange, with the opposition's motion against Speaker Om Birla and questions on the government's foreign policy in West Asia, especially India's oil dealings with Russia, set to dominate discussions.
