Andhra Pradesh Debt Accusations: Reddy vs. Naidu
  • Country:
  • India

YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy made serious allegations against the N Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh, accusing it of accumulating debts nearly equivalent to its previous five-year borrowing total in just two years.

Reddy claimed that under Naidu's TDP government, Rs 3.2 lakh crore had been borrowed, sparking sharp rebuttals from TDP spokespeople. They called these allegations both 'pathetic' and 'absurd', arguing the debts included loans from bodies not directly linked to the main fiscal accounts.

Amidst the financial accusations, both parties have engaged in a war of words, with Reddy asserting reckless borrowing and fiscal deficits, while Naidu's camp insists on deliberate misinformation by the opposition for political gains.
