Antony's appeal follows reports of Sudhakaran's dissatisfaction at not being chosen as the Congress candidate for the Kannur constituency in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for April 9.

Highlighting Sudhakaran's long-time opposition to the Marxists, Antony urged him to accept the party's decision to prevent a third consecutive term for the LDF, reiterating the need for internal consensus and discipline.
